Katerpillar blends the best that rock has to offer with the unique flavors coming together like all the legs of a… well a caterpillar. With our own experiences and personal preferences, we walked into a room and began writing what came to mind. We fused our ideas into a show we could be proud of.

Katerpillar grooves with unrivaled fervor and intensity. Katerpillar songs cater to every mood and occasion with an expansive repertoire of original music consisting of everything from haunting ballads to edgy rock jams to up-beat hip-hop scratch tracks.Singer-songwriter Rod Soriano, the self-taught music theorist, guitarist and vocalist that founded the stylings unique to Katerpilars sound. His moving, melodic verses and why-did-I-not-think-of-that lyrics, make him stand out in his ground-breaking genre of groove-rock music. From the first percussive slap, bassist Steve Henao piques listeners interest with his driving bass grooves. Hailing from Sun Valley, CA, Steve brings heart and soul to the music, giving bass enthusiasts a sound to salivate for. Drummer Erik Jiminez may be the freshest face in percussion today. A twenty year-old prodigy, Erik displays the kind of musical sensitivity crucial to collaboration (yet rare in drummers), bringing intense percussive momentum to Katerpillars unforgettable sound. Percussionist Jay Pacheco is a veteran to the L.A. music scene, having played with more bands and in more genres than most of us have downloaded on our iPods. An expert at his craft, Jay has honed his skills experimenting with an array of percussive instruments from bongos and congas to timbales and chimes. Jay brings a musical complexity and a spicy Latin feel to the music, proving his talents to be instrumental to Katerpillars musical backbone.
